Dan Sleeter is a results-oriented and strategic Director with over 15 years of experience leading cross-functional teams across AI-driven RF programs, secure cloud environments, and agile delivery models for national defense and commercial clients.
Drawing on a strong foundation from U.S. Air Force service and extensive hands-on RF engineering experience, he brings deep expertise in RF systems, spectrum management, acquisition frameworks, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated success managing complex programs for DoD and commercial stakeholders with a focus on mission alignment, technical leadership, and innovation.
Dan applies his expertise as a radio frequency engineer to the design, testing, and maintenance of systems that transmit or receive radio waves, which are crucial for developing technologies like 4G/5G networks, Wi-Fi, radar, satellite communications, and Bluetooth, ensuring devices communicate efficiently without interference.
Dan’s radio frequency expertise benefits clients across various industries, including telecommunications, defense, aerospace, and consumer electronics.
Dan’s background supporting NSA secure communications missions, TEMPEST/EMSEC compliance, and classified RF systems engineering directly strengthens his reverse engineering and IP analysis work. He has led RFML and AI enabled efforts to characterize signal behavior, detect interference, and automate spectrum analysis workflows across diverse SDR platforms—capabilities that translate into deep, component level insight when deconstructing modern wireless, sensing, and communication technologies.
Dan’s experience architecting secure RF and hybrid cloud systems in high assurance environments gives him a unique technical lens for evaluating patent claims, identifying infringement pathways, and mapping complex system architectures for Ocean Tomo’s clients. His combination of national security–grade RF expertise and analytical rigor enables precise, defensible technical interpretations in high stakes IP matters.
Dan, a Director in the Patent Analysis and Reverse Engineering group of Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held, combines technical excellence, patent expertise, and business acumen to partner with in-house corporate intellectual property (IP) groups, outside counsel, and financial institutions to dig into complex systems.
