Tucker Goebeler has been promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst in our IP Disputes practice in Chicago. Tucker joined our Chicago team after graduating from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he studied Finance. Tucker serves as an Industry Analyst covering Autonomous Vehicles and is a part of the Intellectual Property Owners. Although Tucker started with us remotely during the pandemic, he is quick to say that he has greatly enjoyed working alongside everyone at the firm over the last two years and looks forward to his continued development in the practice. Tucker most enjoys model building and learning the various research tools available at Ocean Tomo. On the job, he is reliable and known for having a positive attitude and being a great team member.
Andrew Goldstein has been promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst in our Management Consulting practice in San Francisco. Andrew joined us after graduating from USC with a BS in Business Administration. Andrew is a member of Intellectual Property Owners Association. He is also a CFA Level 2 candidate. Andrew has had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries including cryptocurrency, electric vehicles, and battery, ESG, luxury goods and packaging among others. When asked what the Ocean Tomo experience has meant to him, Andrew explains he loves being in a truly collaborative work environment and the amount of responsibility given to him even at the junior level. These opportunities have been major catalysts for his professional growth in areas such as presenting, modeling, and problem-solving, among others. Andrew’s enthusiasm for his work and our firm is valued and recently showcased when he presented on behalf of the Management Consulting group to our interns during our national internship training program.
Sonja Popovich has been promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst in our IP Disputes practice in Chicago. Sonja joined our Chicago team after graduating from Indiana University with a degree in International Business and Finance and completing an international internship in Finance. Sonja currently serves as an Ocean Tomo Industry Analyst covering blockchain and cryptocurrency. During her time at Ocean Tomo, Sonja has been a contributor with both our IP Disputes and Management Consulting teams and has benefited from a range of client work. In both groups, her excellent modeling and research skills proved invaluable to the teams with whom she worked. Sonja loves that she’s had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of case types in many different industries across different teams at Ocean Tomo, and because she started during the pandemic, Sonja genuinely appreciates any opportunity she has to get to know her coworkers better.
Joseph Sobczak has been promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst in our IP Disputes practice in San Francisco. Joseph joined the SF office full time after interning with the practice and graduating with a degree from Brigham Young University with a degree in Strategic Management. He current serves as an Ocean Tomo Industry Analyst covering cybersecurity and is a part of the Intellectual Property Owners. Joseph has worked on dozens of engagements at Ocean Tomo and enjoys taking responsibility for knowing material facts in a dispute, creating models and schedules, and providing key insights, recommendations and analyses that guide our final work product. He enjoys drafting reports and working with junior staff, and he shares the highlight of being at Ocean Tomo is the ability to learn about new industries and products. Most recently, he’s enjoyed learning about the music industry in preparation for our report in a copyright dispute.
Sarah Zhu has been promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst in our IP Disputes practice in Chicago. We recruited Sarah from Indiana University where she earned her degree in Finance and Economic Consulting. After completing an internship in the area of IP and Financial Accounting Valuation, we knew that Sarah’s interest and experiences were an ideal fit with our group. Since joining Ocean Tomo two years ago, Sarah has become one of our Industry Analysts covering cybersecurity and a part of both the Intellectual Property Owners. Sarah has been an invaluable contributor to our client engagements, a valued member of our recruiting process and is a fantastic example of someone who has established herself at Ocean Tomo by taking advantage of literally every opportunity that is available at the Analyst level.
