Michael Boom is a Director in the Intellectual Property Disputes Financial Expert Testimony practice of Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held. The practice quantifies economic damages in intellectual property and technology related matters. Mr. Boom has performed analyses related to the assessment of damages in commercial disputes related to patent, trademark, and copyright infringement matters and also has experience in trade secret misappropriation and technology related breach of contract matters. In addition, Mr. Boom has performed damages analyses related to non-IP commercial disputes. Outside of a litigation context, Mr. Boom has provided analytical support to clients engaged in licensing negotiations and business transactions.
Mr. Boom has experience across a variety of industries including consumer electronics, medical devices, and communications equipment. He has experience preparing expert reports and supporting testimony before multiple U.S. district courts, arbitration panels, and the International Trade Commission.
