Results
Following a one-week trial, a Federal jury found that Synova LLC and other defendants misappropriated Mallet’s trade secrets by utilizing Mallet’s product formulas and targeting Mallet’s customers using Mallet’s annual customer and product specific sales data.
The jury found for Mallet and awarded lost profits totaling $7.5 million. The court later entered judgement for Mallet in the amount of $7.5 million, $11.4 million of attorney’s fees and costs, and prejudgment interest. The court also issued a permanent injunction banning Synova from making certain release agents found to be based on Mallet’s proprietary formulas.
